Hi & Thanks for your kind word & thoughts

Mil still with us

She`s not quite as agitated, more settled now

She was chatting a little but for the first time it was as though she was getting out of breath so I asked her to calm down and have a sleep

Which she has and i still doing

So I did the ironing  whilst watching her

She is one tough lady x x

She certainly is Amazing as she`s still with us

Her hands are Grey/lilac colour and her feet purpley/Blue

I do not know where her energy is coming from !!!

She still has this burst of energy

She will only take water nothing else

I am so confused

I dont know if this is normal or not

I think so. You can talk about it with the GP. But I think we can live for a long long time with just water.

I hope she is peaceful.

Hi

I know this must be an incredibly stressful time for you. Hang on in there, keep talking to her (they say the hearing is the last sense to go) and stroking her head. It sounds as if she will pass very peacefully before long - a good death. Are you getting any support from the district nurses? MY Dad died at home last week and the nurses were fantastic.
Thinking of you. Anne x

Hi Carara,

You are facilitating a gentle letting go of life. Time slows right down. After all the turmoil of dementia, it is wonderful that she gets to die a gentle and peaceful death, like relaxing out of life into the next world.

There is no hurrying nature, and nature knows best just when. We can only be bystanders. You are amazing. Give your special man a big hug too....
Thank you for sharing this. It will happen to us all one day.

Very intimate glimpses into end of life.
Hugs to you Carara, BE

hi
Having recently lost dad. Carers kept coming in to check his hands and feet.we were told that as the body starts to shut down. It stops pumping blood to extremeties. Hence cold and blue
We were told it was a sign the end was coming...though dads were never really that cold

Thinking of you today. You will be drained and exhausted but keep hanging in there. You are doing so well. I lost all track of time by this stage and lost the ability to think or reason. I am keeping you in my prayers xxxx

Hiya

Mil still with us and very different today

She`s been crying so much and very very aggitated

Hubby calmed her down as I couldnt which is unusual now as I can normally

Hands & feet bluey grey/purple and her face is pinky purple mottled

Yesterday she had a drink of tea via sponge and choked terribly

I honest & truthfully don`t know how she`s still going on but he is

Even the carers are baffled by her  and I dont think the doctor thought he`d last until now
