I think I joined a little while ago but haven't been engaged. Have any of you requested and been given a 2nd CT scan to see how the dementia has developed?

Hello @Mama M Welcome to the Dementia Support Forum. My husband was offered a second scan but declined which the consultant accepted especially as my husband’s diagnosis is quite clear.
Is there a reason that you think a second scan is required?

Scans for dementia are not usually given on a routine basis to monitor the progression. They are done for diagnosis and if any other things (eg stroke or bleed) are suspected, but not routinely. Things like cognitive tests and symptoms are usually a better guide to the progression. TBH, though, many areas of the country (including mine) do not monitor progression at all
