Itching's so awful isn't it, and it's so hard not to make it worse by scratching. I hope the doctor's remedies help, Sylvia, and that advice about oatmeal might work too!
The funny thing is, I know several people who have been bothered by unaccustomed itching this spring. Mine started the day after taking down the Christmas tree, and I thought it was a slight allergy to he tree, but now, weeks later, it's still been bothering me, and now my husband is scratching too. I had steroidal cream and emollient from the GP, but the rash came back when it ran out. Then the other day I realised I had noticed the itching after using a new shower gel that was for sale at a discount, so for four days I've stopped all creamsand only used plain water for arms and legs. And it's MUCH better!
I also stopped wearing a cashmere jumper and instead am wearing cotton.
( when I rang for a doctors appointment I was told I 'd have to wait two weeks for the same doctor. Still waiting, but it's starting to improve now!)
Hope you're more comfortable soon....
