Lizzy; Heike; thanks, you two. Es, and everyone, here is the news after a coupla phone calls. He's back at the CH now, but they've got to change his catheter to a permanent one. Whadda heck that means, don't even ask me:confused::confused::confused:

I did ask if the stupid thing could be removed as if he pulls the permanent one out, he really would injure himself. I couldn't bear that.

Meanwhile, he's having a snooze and I can visit tomorrow. Yay! That'll do me :)

I'm so glad Mr Chuggs is back at the home.

I've just caught up again, so sorry to hear about all the problems with Mr Chuggs, hope they sort him out soon in the most comfortable and best way for him. I've had OH back from respite since Saturday morning and can hardly remember being away! I have to keep looking at my holiday photos to remind me. My car has a dangerously worn wheel bearing so can't even take him out to pacify the sundowning. Hope car will be fixed tomorrow.

Sheesh honey, you must get that fixed. I know they are dangerous. We had it happen many years ago. Don't leave it, Jinx. Please find the time to get the wheel sorted.

According to a magazine I'm reading, this is "Carer's Week ", and you can find all sorts of info, including links to organisations that can help you (hmm), at www.carersweek.org

Jeremy Vine had a segment on his show yesterday re carers & it was very good. More of a warts & all view of dementia than we are used to hearing. I think he is doing a daily segment this week (not all dementia related of course)

I don't have TV, only see snatches if visiting someone or in the nursing home. Is Jeremy Vine the one that has that show where people sort of "wash their dirty laundry in public ", and they do DNA tests, and everyone ends up shouting at each other? :-/

Loads of new this time

Sorry everyone. Got back earlier and just had to tune out completely before coming on here. You know when you've got tons to do but ya just don't FEEL LIKE IT? Well, I just wanted to tune right out for a while and do absolutely nothing. Now, for the...

Newsflash!

Managed the trip both ways by bus. Couldn't be simpler. Got it down pat, now, as to how to get to the CH. and back again

Win :D

Saw hubby, who is back to his quiet, non-conversational self and apparently, refused to go to the Activities Room, where the residents are encouraged to socialise and learn various stuff. Thay can make art and craft things; draw; listen to music; socialise with each other or just sit quietly with a cuppa. I managed to get a conversation with the woman who runs the daily activities. They've got a fundraiser on towards the end of the month. Subject of music came up and I was asked to jock the day. I'm gonna be their DJ, ladies and Gentlemen!!! How bad is that :D:D:D

Well, that is, I will be if I can get there wiv me kit. Can't WAIT...so excIted; blah, blah, blah :D

Walked back to bus stop later and this group of ducks with their babies crowded round me trolley. I should have had a camera. It was The Most Amazing Thing to see.

Got back home. Still wrapped up like an Eskimo. Ah mean it's been doggone FREEZing, ain't it,:confused::confused: (Where is the sun, dood'n do do :D ) Sung to the tune of Here Comes The Sun, by the way... Review about care, (I suppose) changed again to tomorrow. So I wanna see some summer weather if ah'm goin' aht agin, ya hear?

Whoever's nicked it, give it back, haha.
