Chicken
Salmon and other fatty fish
Oats
Nuts - walnuts, almonds, cashews
Nuts very fattening so use sensibly - 1.5oz (recommended amount) = 1 filled shot glass
and my two favourites....
Dark Chocolate and red wine - a Rioja
A recipe. Hope it doesn't make you sick
Chicken in Red Wine
4 1/2 oz angel hair pasta, uncooked
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 lb chicken breast
2 tsp minced garlic
3/4 Cup thinly sliced onions
(3/4 cup = 1 medium onion)
1/2 Cup dry red wine
1/2 Cup orange juice
Cook the pasta according to the package directions; drain. Heat the olive oil in a large nonstick skillet. Brown the chicken, garlic, and onions for about 10 minutes or until tender. Add the wine and orange juice and simmer for 5 minutes. Serve over the pasta.
Cooking the wine removes a lot of the alcohol ..... not sure if that's good news or bad
The cumin could be "sprinkled" but I don't in this recipe.
