  1. Expert Q&A: Living well as a carer - Thurs 29 August, 3-4pm

As a carer for a person living with dementia, the needs of the person you care for will often come before your own. You may experience a range of difficult emotions and you may not have the time to do all the things you need to do. Caring can have a big impact on both your mental and physical health, as well as your overall wellbeing.

Angelo, our Knowledge Officer (Wellbeing) is our expert on this topic. He will be here to answer your questions on Thursday 29 August between 3-4pm.

You can either post questions >here< or email them to us at talkingpoint@alzheimers.org.uk and we'll answer as many as we can on the day.

The funeral will be held on Monday January 27th at 3.20pm.

It will be small and humanist, just immediate family and care home staff, people Dhiren was familiar with.

The Funeral Director accompanied Dhiren for his brain donation. He was so impressed with the way it was conducted he went home, had a discussion with his wife and phoned the Brain Bank to offer his own brain for donation.

I'm glad you have the arrangements made Sylvia. I'm sure the service will be a fitting tribute to Dhiren's life. What good news about the funeral director.

The funeral sounds ideal, a good way to celebrate all that Dhiren stood for in his life.

Very Interesting that the Funeral Director was impressed with how the donation was carried out, that should help others who are thinking about brain donation.

    Love xxx

Thats so amazing about the funeral director. Dhiren's giving will continue through him and other people that he tells that is so comforting to know
I hope the funeral goes well and is everything you want it to be.

One of the best funerals I have attended was a humanist service. To be honest, I was surprised at that at the time, but now I always recommend such a service for those who are even remotely considering it.

Our thoughts will be with you on the day, and afterwards.
