I am going to have to lock the doors and hide the key.
She has started wandering around the house; previously, she sat happily.
Now I become aware of a silence and realise she is doing something unusual.

Oh @Chris100 That is a worrying development. You can get sensors on the door to warn you if your wife tries to leave the house at night.

Just a thought - have you checked in case she has a urine infection. They play havoc.
