I haven't been diagnosed of having dementia but my family history is not good

My grandmother, mother, aunt all died with alzheimers and my sister is now in a home suffering from it. I feel very nervous about my future and don't know if the worrying will make things worse - I do forget a lot, but then I do a lot and try to keep as busy as possible. Is there anybody else in a similar situation?

I do know anxiety itself can make you feel very ill indeed. Have you seen the doctor for advice to help with that?

No, I haven't - it is complicated by the fact that I live in Portugal and am unsure about what sort of service they provide and the quality of communication that can be achieved.

Is there anywhere you can be advised where you can find an English speaking doctor? Do you know any other ex pats who can help you?

I`m sure worry will make your symptoms worse.
