Win, my hives are much better thank you.

Sorry you are being temped by the cake. It's a magic cake because it's a virtual cake. You can eat as much as you want without gaining an ounce .

Sylvia, I am amazed at your baking skills:):D can I ask for a slice please?xx

Sue. Help yourself. :)

You know, I love it when a thread runs like this. It is just like sitting with friends having coffee and cake and nattering about this and that. Helpful hints about bites ( rubbing an ice cube on one helps.....but does it if you have Reynaud's?) Blankets v duvets....etc etc.The weather...simply putting the world to rights. I am with friends. Thank you all.x.x:).

Its how I feel Maureen. Just the job for a wet and very cold Bank Holiday. Xx

I am just about to go to bed, after I fill up my hot water bottle as it is still winter here and you are talking about sunshine and showing pictures of luscious cakes. What a topsy turvy world we live in.

Topsy turvy country here Sue.
I've the cold and rain like Sylvia!
It hasn't stopped pouring down all day.
A really miserable bank holiday - and I've not got nice cake like Sylvia has!:(

p.s.This is the sort of day that I'd like to be beside the sea.
Have you gone for a walk today Sylvia?
I love the sea in the rain.

I might not have been cold before but I can't believe the temperature change . I'm wearing socks, the heating is on , in August  and my gas fire is on. It hasn't stopped raining all day and it's very, very cold.

And I've no cake. You've all eaten it. :D

Some one please cheer us up with some more cake and possibly a bottle of fiz, The weather is absolutely awful here it is raining like cats and dogs, the central heating is on and I am still cold.

I always think about all the elderly alone without visitors all day and cold because they cannot afford to heat the house properly. How sad. I am lucky I have had 2 visitors today, a warm house and I am so grateful, but no cake nor fiz. Help

I've got socks and heating on too Sylvia.
No gas fire and my electric one isn't great as is only blows out hot air which I don't like so have left that.
I have, though, just put on a cardigan over my jumper!
Did you say August?
More like November!
See - I just eat cake without even realising it!:D

I'm thinking of making tea, just to wrap cold fingers round. The biscuit tin is empty. Rain nattering on the conservatory roof.
Does Saffie- dog like walks in the rain? Our dog would look out of the door, and say no thank-you.

Canine Saffie isn't at all bothered by the rain being a golden retriever and having a water resistant coat.
However the human version is, especially when it's cold as well!

Big Billy moaned and groaned through his walk this morning but Cindy was up for it as usual. She loves her walk as she didn't get many in her previous life. This evening was better as it had finally stopped raining-Big Billy stopped sulking:D

I can't remember ever having put the heating on in August before.

Take care and keep warm

All of those Maureen apart from the Ho*l*cks - I have a cup of tea instead.
I do have to have an open window near me too, no matter how cold it is.

I hope your Spring comes soon Sue, as long as that doesn't mean our Autumn comes sooner too!

Still pouring here taday. I hope it is better with you Sylvia.

Good morning Everyone

Thanks for some lovely distractions yesterday. :)

It`s damp and miserable here today but not as wet or as cold. I have to go out so my waterproof will be on for the first time this year.

Have a good day everyone. :)

O Sylvia. That time.
It seems not quite right to say that I hope it goes well - but I hope you know what I mean.
Another farewell moment.
