What upsets sufferers

My wife almost cried watching African aid adverts. She gets upset if a character in a drama is controversial and I change programme. Less and less dramas are becoming acceptable. T.V. dramas were always a good fallback. Any suggestions?

Other members have had the same issues @Chris100. Some have found that programmes like Antique Roadshow were acceptable. Others natural history programmes were enjoyed but then sometimes the PWD was upset is a cute animal was killed by a big cat.

If I remember correctly one member on here recommended Andre Rieu music programmes because of the music, movement and bright colours.

It is partly trial and error. Shorter programmes are best as attention spans lessen as the dementia progresses.
