Top up fees and chc funding

My dad was awarded chc funding recently. I am sure at the meeting i was told we wouldnt have to pay the top up fee if the funding was awarded. The nursing Home say that we still need to pay it though. Confused!

If you mean Full NHS CHC funding (instead of NHS FNC funding) then you should NOT be asked to pay any top up.

A problem can occur where the NH charge more than the NHS will fund. The NHS can insist that your Dad moves to another home within budget that can also meet his needs but have to take into consideration any detrimental affect this may have on your Dad.
