Sorry your dad is poorly @imthedaughter, and that you are so far away you can't visit that easily.
I hope the antibiotics do their magic. Thinking of you {{{hugs}}}

ive heard because the strep b outbreak, some anti-bios are in short supply. dont know if thats the case with your dads homeHave called the home twice today, and my brother has called as well. Meds are supposed to be delivered by 6pm. 72 hours without antibiotics despite them being prescribed. Not very impressed but not sure how much is in their control...
Yes that is exactly the case. Strep is apparently rife in the city but it is a big city, seems impossible to have three days without any type of them.ive heard because the strep b outbreak, some anti-bios are in short supply. dont know if thats the case with your dads home
they have a limited amount of suppliers that supply the chemists even in a big city. i hope he gets them very soonYes that is exactly the case. Strep is apparently rife in the city but it is a big city, seems impossible to have three days without any type of them.
I've just had a message, they have managed to get some. I still feel quite divided about it but I feel like we can't withhold antibiotics.The shortage of antibiotics is a worry. I hope your dad gets them very soon @imthedaughter.
If you are having doubts about continuing treatment please call the home and talk to them about it. They may be able to give you a clearer picture about the chances of him getting over this.I've just had a message, they have managed to get some. I have spoken to them about it and they believe he should have antibiotics. Although I find different members of staff have different views - one of them would have had him hospitalised but the paramedics and I disagreed. But in the moment it is hard to weigh up!If you are having doubts about continuing treatment please call the home and talk to them about it. Yes I'm not sure right now what to do for the best. I'm back at home which is 5 hours drive away, nowhere to stay in the city dad is in due to relatives having either no room or covid or both, and currently no car as it's in the garage! Car hire and hotels are scarce due to Christmas visiting. Options are limited fight now. I'm not sure dad would want us to hang around waiting for him to die either, but it goes against the grain to not rush down.It`s a waiting and watching time @imthedaughter It`s so painful.
