Mum has rare condition which I managed well prior to care home. Her meds need frequent adjustment which you have freedom to do by specialist. The care home GP has been a bit gung ho recently and she is struggling. Yesterday she had a uncontrollable shaking episode. He plans to reduce her meds tomorrow. I a, hoping in the light of yesterday he will reassess but who knows 🤷♀️🤷♀️
I have spoken to him many times and I think I am now seen as a hypochondriac…
if I disagree with him and the decision is made in his opinion on her ‘best interests’ - should I as Health POA / NOK somehow state my official disagreement? Sadly I think he will need to see her struggle to get it…but I am trying to avoid her suffering …but I think I have spoken up too much and am now not listened to.
prior to care home Inwoiod seek out the GP in practice best equipped for her diagnosis but not u have no choice as she’s in a home.
