Hello everyone. I am still sad for my dad who suffered for about 10 years from alzheimers. For the last 2 years he had been in a care home close by. Mom and I visited daily. The grieving process has been continuous for years. After he passed I felt some relief that he was no longer suffering but it seems that I keep reliving the experience of his decline and ultimately tthe last several days when he passed. I'm hoping to be less sad with time.

Hello @Frank5642 and welcome to the forum. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad. As you say, you have been grieving for the Dad he used to be for many years, and now you are grieving for his actual loss. It’s still early days, so you still need time to process and come to terms with it all. That’s a lovely photo of you both. Now it’s time to take care of yourself and your Mom.
