Once again I have asked for advice on this forum. You have all been so very helpful, I have taken on board all the advice given on this site. Unfortunately I suffer with anxiety and depression, so sometimes it is extra hard for me, but reading all the advice has helped me a lot. So glad I found this site.

Never, ever thank us, we do it because we care for each other. It's very polite but never feel the need to thank us, it's nice when it happens just join in we're all friends on here. K

Hi Sue I think a lot of us end up with anxiety and depression as carers, I was already a long way down that road before dementia reared its ugly head. It makes coping with being a carer even harder. You must look after your mental health even if it is only to be a real help to your partner. I am also hoping for a life after I can no longer help my husband- it seems unlikely that I will survive this but who knows? - do try to stay strong and not give up hope ❤️
