I do the same with All Day bus ticketsI’m always delighted if I am able to pass on the remaining time on my car parking ticket to someone as I leave. Supposedly illegal but what the hell.

UN. DefinitelyStarting my day by ordering personalised wheelie bin stickers to help my loved one and their neighbour (with a shared path) after a heartbreaking dementia-led misunderstanding yesterday over a bloody bin of all things! Don't know whether to laugh, cry or apply to the UN for a peace-keeping role.
That story has made my day so much brighter. Thank you!I walk my dog locally and recently came across a 90 year old lady knocking on her window. I asked if she was ok and she asked if I was going near the local shops as she had no milk. I asked if there was anything else she needed but she said she only needed milk. i bought her milk and when I returned she was obviously lonely and invited me in. She is 90 and has broken vertebrae in her back and she;s diabetic. Her husband is 93 and has neck cancer, is blind and has dementia. She has no family who live locally so now each time I walk my dog I call on her and pick up any shopping she needs and stay for a cuppa and a chat. So glad I can help.
💐Well what a fantastic thread. I'm thinking flowers for some wonderful friends who try to be there for me when things get too much. Xx
it's a great thread need something like the Wetherspoon's pay it forward drinks and food game for carers, only thing is we'd be half gone on the Kir Royale's most of the time 🍹
I'll keep this in mind to bombard the Wetherspoon's boss when I've a moment. They already do the cleanest loos around, no obligation, and free chilled water. They also have disabled loos downstairs, also no questions asked. Some need a Radar key fro behind the bar, or you can get your own online or from a place that rhymes with Lutes. #kiroclock247it's a great thread need something like the Wetherspoon's pay it forward drinks and food game for carers, only thing is we'd be half gone on the Kir Royale's most of the time
CuteBrilliant idea for a thread @Alisongs 👍
I know quite a few people living at my mum’s nursing home. There’s a lady who moved in several weeks ago who always asks for a Tunnocks chocolate marshmallow at tea time. As soon as the carer with the tea trolley has gone she beckons me over and gives the marshmallow to me. She laughs and says she doesn’t like chocolate! She does it every day I am there 🥰
Sweetie pie!I love reading all of these. In this busy world, just having a moment to pass the time of day can make such a huge difference to someone. I live near a specialist hospitals and often meet people coming out from visiting. It’s on my dog walk and sometimes people just love to make a fuss of her and have a chat about anything other than what they are going through. She’s a little therapy dog in her own way.
if only there were more people like you, that's a very nice thing you're doing,,I walk my dog locally and recently came across a 90 year old lady knocking on her window.
