This has been a problem for 12 months but after 8 days in hospital therefore no practise my husband won't turn his back and lower into the car seat. The seat is at it's highest and I have a white towel on the seat so that it does not look like falling into a hole. My husband is very fit and strong and can get in and out of low seats on his own. Any suggestions types of car or adaptions please?

May not be useful, but when Mum was still capable of getting into a car -- on a good day! -- our carer had a handle that clips into the door frame while the door's open and gives passengers something solid to hang onto and ease the stress a little.
