Hi - new to this forum.
Our mother walked into a care home last October after being diagnosed a few months earlier with dementia. She is now in bed all the time, sleeping mostly and is taking jelly and very little fluid - average 200-600ml daily.
we have been told next step will be when she refuses all of the above. She is a very very thin lady.
I have returned to Uk to spend time with her but have to return in 7 days and due to return again 3 weeks later. So scared something will happen in the meantime. Especially due to covid etc and travel restrictions. I am only one hour flight away. We just want to know how long she can continue like this. She never wanted to be in this situation.
