1. My daughter has had 2 friends to play today and they have giggled and chatted and played in the garden

2. It was sunny and I feel a lot better, cold is going, though will be coughing for a while

3. I had a nice chat with a friend too

1. The GP was wonderful
2. The Therapist was wonderful too
3. The Consultant's secretary was also wonderful

I still love reading everyone's positives. Here are mine for today:

Had a successful shopping trip with daughter.
Had lovely scampi and chips on shopping trip!
Managed to put other worries out of my mind and felt pretty good.

Son stayed with Allen while I went to hospital with youngest daughter and grandson,

Eldest daughter visited this morning for coffee and a chat

15 year old grandson popped in to show me his new plaster cast on his broken hand he didn't have to have a operation on it

Did baking with daughter, very successfully
Had lovely chat and laugh with daughter
Still gradually getting better from this stupid cold/virus thing

1) Had a shopping trip - and enjoyed it! For once didn't feel knotted up and preoccupied
2) Ref above - lunch at N**dos with my amazing and funny teenage daughter
3) The sun has returned, however briefly

My three for today

My sister and family are back off their hols and it's nice to chat with her again. I miss her when she's not here (can't tell her that she'd think I'd gone soft)
My brother sounds happier now, it knocked him so much when Mum died but he's picking up again.
Sometimes complaining about bad service does get results (£100 compensation)

Three positives :-

• Made it up to and across London to a meeting and didn't get us lost!
  
  
• Really pleased that after over two and a half years working on the development and testing (as part of a national advisory group) that we have a good product that will soon be rolling out across the country.
  
  
• My colleague who came with me did really well as, for various reasons, travelling by public transport to and from London and a meeting with strangers is well outside his comfort zone but he managed and not only that - enjoyed it and has gone home with lots more confidence in himself

• Went to the cinema with my daughter.
  
• Had a reply to a query on a family history website which gave me some interesting information on one of my ancestors.
  
• Despite a very rainy morning, the sun came out and stayed out all afternoon!

Today's:

Really lovely day (most of) today weather-wise.

Daughter and I had a nice lazy morning/early afternoon, got some more of my book read while daughter practiced her singing.

The trip to pick up mam from her day centre went really well and I hope dad benefited from a little extra time to himself.

All in all, a good day today!

had a good laugh at coffee time in work today where we all meet at 10.30
had enough flexi time to finish at 3.30 and do my food shop and be home by 5.15
did some urgent paperwork and put it in the post.

Have made lasagne for lunch as my daughter is coming round with grandchildren. It is my grandson's favourite.

Have done my 20 min quick walk/jog

Will take some rubbish to the recycling centre after visit with husband
