We used to have lots of signs up for my mum to remind her and it was frustrating trying to get her to understand. My sister put up sticky notes for the hive heating, the remote control, the microwave but over the last year and a half we have stopped all this as pointless and this has taken away that conflict. We now do everything as have to but try to make her feel she is helpful, except when we are exhausted and just want to get the job done/finished.
We know our mum has limited capacity really and we can’t reeducate her. It goes from feeling really frustrated, trapped to feeling really sad at how this disease slowly destroys the person who wants was.
