On the confusion on the better or worse

lila said

She is sort of settled now, but of course there's no knowing what might suddenly trigger another attack.

So I thought I would say what triggers an attack in mum & I should of said that, but never so maybe Bruce ,got the wrong end of the stick

So I relayed
with my mum its arguments, like when my kids argue in fount of her, lots of commotion going on around her .change in routine

Maybe Bruce dose speed reading? Or maybe I did not express it right .

or maybe the world is not round lol jokeing

Then when Bruce said I think everyone starts off thinking "my situation is worse", or "their situation is easier because..." or "it is worse for older people" or "it is worse for younger people".

So I replayed I personally have never thought of it as my situation or yours is worse, but then we are all different

Then Bruce said

Hi Margarita - the quote to which you refer was my own comment to a previous comment in Lila's post

Of course it is different if you all live on one household.

(I don't give up that easily.)

It would certainly be much more difficult for my family if we all lived under one roof, but I wish my mother lived near enough for more frequent and shorter visits.

I just hope we can get her moved before I disintegrate altogether.

Hiya Lila,

How long has your mother lived in her home? If someone is already suffering confusion and you move them from familiar surroundings, it can make the situation far worse, as they do not have past memories to rely on. Just a thought.

Yes I am well aware of the fact that moving my mother from her present house (where she's lived for 52 years) will inevitably add to her confusion. And no-one can force her to move if she decides to stay there, I don't think she has done any of the things people get sectioned for.

It is up to her to choose what is most important to her in her life, while she still has the capacity to choose.

'Scuse me folks ...

But wouldn't it ease the confusion if we each put the name of the person to whom we are respondng in the 'Title' box, or at the start of the response?

Posts appear according to the time they are sent, so often there are 2 replies from different people shown between (for instance) MY reply to Amy. It can be difficult to follow different strands of a thread like that, and sensitivities can be bruised or tired brains confused - like mine.

Hiya LYNNE,
Am I being particularly dense, but I can' see where you have responded to me, or were you hypothetically speaking?
Love, Amy.

No, because I was addressing my question to a concept, not a reality.

Maybe I'll ask my cat instead..... ;)

But Bruce,
How do you know the cat is real and not a mere projection?

All I can say is that he is a very furry and very hungry projection in that case. I believe that all the now vanished mice in the vicinity always thought of Nikolai Vronsky [aka Nicky] as far too real. The projections they feared was his teeth... :D

Here he is
