Hoarding, Alzheimer’s

Hi my grandad has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and he is starting to take and hide keys money and important documents, he also recently ripped up 12 of my books. The problem is he doesn’t remember ever doing it and if it is bought up he blames it on someone breaking into the house. I just want some advice and want to know if I should confront him with the problem. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. 🙂

Hello and welcome Annabelle. What you're describing are classic symptoms, sudden onset can be due to an infection, often a water infection.
All that said are you safe or able to go to a place of safety, you come first and confrontation isn't my preferred option if you're in an alone and vulnerable situation with anyone. Please take care. K
