Hello im ann my mam has dementia

Hi just taken mam to dentist when taking her back to carehome which she's been in for 6 weeks she wouldn't go back in. She has been either quiet or angry this last week. Is this a stage of dementia?

6 weeks isn’t long for someone new to residential care. It could be that she hasn’t reconciled herself to being there, and she’s going through the same process as she did when she first arrived there.

My assumption is that she’ll eventually settle again, but it might be good not to take her out for a couple of months, so that the surroundings become familiar.
