I,m all for that and delighted is says medically unfit but it also says people taking drugs I have always agreed with everyone with a medical problem being reported and taking a driving test or assessment if they wish to continue we must remember the doctor can only report on your medical condition he is not a qualified driving examiner , so yes bring it on . I also think when a person reaches a certain age they should stop say 80 you automitically loose your driving licence similar you can't drive a car until your 17
Hello Tony
I am rather surprised to read your comment
I also think when a person reaches a certain age they should stop - say 80 you automatically loose your driving licence
I have always respected your posts on driving subjects , bearing in mind your own position and raising the case against arbitrary selection
Surely your argument in this matter of 'age discrimination ' should be the same as that you advocate for Alzheimer's patients
I have many friends in their eighties who still drive and in my opinion are no more danger on the road than many younger people
By all means improve the current legislation on driving ability , but do not discriminate a person because they reach a certain age ,unless you have proof of their
inability to be a safe driver
