Hi again 🤗

I am confused by how frail mum looks?
I thought she'd lost weight but the docs say not, she's eating better because I'm providing the food. She gets a lot of exercise as she walks everywhere and so far safely👍

But when we look at her she looks frail and I don't know why🤔

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thank you 😊

Possibly because as a child you remember her as being the strong one, when you were frail as a child.
She could sweep you up into her arms, now it's your turn to sweep her off her feet.
Just part of the aging process, role reversal. K

Hi there, yes we too see our mum as now very frail. She has had a few episodes where she had declined and then picked up. She eats fairly well now ( for 86year old) but hasn’t put the weight back on. We had a dietician referral and general advice and discharged. I check her weight from time to time, she is like a stick and very stooped now. Try not to worry as I think is part and parcel of dementia but possibly dietician referral maybe helpful x
