Electrical safety

My mother has dementia and lives on her own with carers 3 times a day to prepare meals. She has started switching on the microwave with nothing in it and blowing it up. Does anyone know of a safety plug which could be used to stop her doing this?
Any advice gratefully received .

You can get a socket that locks so the carers could switch it off and lock it after they have used it. This link might be helpful...

A lockable plug cover like that one is one good idea; alzproducts have some interesting products, though their prices are usually on the high side.
