CHC funded - Does PEA apply?

Hi everyone,

I’ve searched for an answer to this question but haven’t found anything that answers it.

If someone is CHC funded do they have restrictions on how their cash assets can be spent? My guess is you still have to be aware of asset deprivation should a review ever change the situation and so restrictions do still effectively exist.

Is the personal expense allowance the cap on this like other funding methods for care homes?

I understand they are still allowed to contribute towards their share of maintenance and repairs to their former home which they still have a financial interest in. Does this type of expenditure have a limit?

PEA has just going up to just under £30 per week, in England anyway.
If you're self funded then I don't think it applies.
