Following on from the threads with products we’re not so sure about…..made me wonder what would we like them to invent To help us???
For us it would currently be a sensor which could tell when mum has had a bowel incident in her pad. she can’t be checked without rolling which is distressing and for some reason my bloodhound nose cannot detect them. The mobile residents you can smell a mile away and carers are quick then to change them. Mum has to wait until the next routine change and so she could be sat in it for a few hours….I know Tena do a sensor to let u know pad is full of urine and needs change…but one for bowel movements please….I know if it sent an accurate alert the carers here would be straight on it to change her.
Other ideas???? Maybe the budding technologists of the future are reading ….
