voting day

this was the conversation last night
OH..where are we going tomorrow
ME...to vote
OH oh yes that's right, where do we go, who do I vote for
ME ,,who do you want to vote for, then he tells me.
this morning
OH who is it I'm voting for,
ME..shall I cut the photo and name from the paper, so you don't forget
so I do that and he puts it in his pocket, and off we go, in the rain
we get to the polling booth and he's forgotten the name,
so I remind him it's in his pocket...so the X goes next to his choice
put it in the ballot box, and off home again...in the rain
I remember years ago when they sent cars to pick up elderly people
take them to the polling station and home again..

i remember that, we have postal vote so easier as we can have discussions etc

We have had postal votes for years, for state, federal and city council elections. We also have early voting booths so if you have a wedding on that day, you can go early and get it out of the way
.
Wouldnt miss it for anything.
