When my husband started to walk away from me I made sure I had my mobile phone with me and the house keys in case I had to close the house in a hurry.
I also got a dog tag engraved with his name and phone number and the fact he had dementia and diabetes. I attached the tag to my husband`s key ring.
Your husband fell because either he was very confused or anxious and I found it best to say nothing but just follow him quietly hoping something would happen to break the episode.
