Hi
I don't know if this will be useful, but I've had to work out some fixes to support mum remotely.

1. Keep pictures of her remote controls and anything else she may phone up about on your mobile. it is easier to talk her through what buttons to press to get her programs back on tv.

2. She was turning all the power off at the plugs at night and not knowing why things weren't working in morning.
I watched her through the IP camera I installed.
SHe turned the lights off, left the room turned round to check, saw the standby lights of the tv, sat etc on so turned them of at the plug. (no recall of this of course).
Anyway, I just put sticky picture labels over all the lights.
So far it is working.

3. Mum has always used the computer, but now only just sits at it playing spider solitaire in evenings. So I've installed Skype on it.
When I'm at home I skype her and she sits and plays her cards with me in the corner just chatting and making general noises. I carry on around the house taking the tablet with me and it gives her company.

What a wonderfully inventive way to deal with issues from a distance. Well done! :D

This is brilliant candiedsonia :)

What is an IP camera by the way?

Pity my mum was never into computers....Skype would have been great!

Well done again and thanks for sharing xx
