At moment I'm having what can best be described as "an interesting experience"
with SS, who don't seem to realise the implications of the Care Act.
It's as though the general public are not supposed to know that as from 1st April 2015, the Care Act is now law.
I don't expect SW's to have read the entire document (it's 506 pages long), but at least be able to demonstrate that they are aware of their responsibilities in their dealings with service users, irrespective of their finances.
Has anyone else faced challenges dealing with SS recently, because of the new Care Act?
