Spelling out words

Hi I care for my 91 year old dad who has Alzheimer’s, just recently he has started spelling out a couple of words, it’s always the same 2 words, it was happening a few times a day but this has now increased to quite a lot of times, just wondering if anyone else here has experienced this and what it means?? Thank you.

My aunt used to say random numbers (at least they seemed random to me) when she was poorly. Does your dad seem otherwise well?
