Has anyone heard of a book called The Selfish Pig's Guide to Caring?
Apparantly it is very funny but also informative. I haven't read it yet but it's available on Amazon.
The guy whom wrote it is a carer and he calls his loved one P.I.G.L.E.T
it stands for Person I give love and endless therapy too! I thought that was really funny. We all have our own little herd of piglets here!
My piglet is a bit brighter today and I am a woman on a respite mission.

Selfish Pig's guide to caring.

Hi everyone
I'm just working my way through the book and it's given me a few giggles. At last a book written by someone who's going through all the ups and downs of caring! It doesn't offer solutions, just ways of reacting to problems that cause less stress to you, the carer. He's gone down the "I feel like pushing my piglet down the stairs as i Can't take anymore" days and survived and it's made me think but it takes a lot for me to keep biting my tongue and smiling sweetly when you get asked for the umpteenth time what to do with the cheese grater and cheese! I've often felt tempted to tell David where to put it but as I'ts a big square one it would be counterproductive as
1: He'd probably try it as he doesn't reason anymore
2: my stress levels would be even higher with the dash to A & E!!!!!
Try the book out there really knows exactly how you feel!
