All but one of the institutions accepted copy of the latest nursing home invoice which had dads name room number etc paid in advance as proof of residency the other one insisted on a formal letter from the NH confirming he is a resident. Dad no longer has passport or driving licence so letters from DWP showing attendance allowance award and latest tax coding letter from HRMC were accepted. You will need ID for you also...I used passport for ID and council tax letter for residency.. all were very helpful cups of tea offered but when they bring your poa back to you after copying check you have all pages before you leave.
