My mum is was diagnosed with vascular dementia four years ago.

She has bronchiectasis and is on a palliative care pathway for that. No more hospital admissions

At the moment her dementia symptoms have progressed, she is much more unsteady on her feet and sleeps a lot of the day now.

Yes, this might be due to the fact that she has a chest infection ,but she is over a week into a two week course of antibiotics, in the past she would have picked up a bit by now. I think I may have to prepare for the fact that mum may no longer be able to get herself dressed in the morning and these three hour naps may result in a wet armchair one day. Hasn’t happed yet. But like to be prepared.

I would like to buy pads to line the chair and maybe put under mum in bed. Pet shop? Washable/ Disposable?

What do people recommend?

These and kylie sheets might be an option. You can get them from Amazon etc.
