My husband was diagnosed 5 years ago and my aim is to look after him at home I have had a lift installed and have had the shower enlarged allowing me to shower him comfortably and recently bought a wheelchair as his legs give way
I have tried to stay one step ahead of the progression of the disease but would quite like to know what stage we are at now
I think it’s probably approaching end stage but don’t feel there’s enough support for carers to allow for planning ahead
Does anyone else think the same?
