My uncle is now living in a care home he has been for the second week now and he is causing trouble. Last week he eat soap of the wall and his lip become swollen. Earlier this week he got a black eye and he and the nurses didn't know how he got it. Today I heard he got into a huge row with one of the other residents in the home and he had been belted a few times.

Before he got dementia he became nasty bully on some occasions. Now it's showing in the care home. The nurses don't know what happened but they are monitoring him. Me and my Mother don't want him back in the house he's been violent to us previously.

I doubt that your uncle will be sent home ... it's good that the staff are monitoring his behaviour and keeping you updated ... they may consider some medication to help him settle, but this will involve the GP and maybe the Community Psychiatric Team
