Losing mom quickly to Alzheimer's

In less than month my mom sleeps all day. Can engage in conversation for maybe 15 mins before dozing off. She has been bed ridden for 8 years in a resident care facility due to many strokes. She no longer has interest in the tv or radio and is intolerant to noise. She has a nice demeanor but now cries alot. I am totally heartbroken as I feel that I have already listed her.

Hi @nsevelin and welcome to Dementia Support Forum our friendly and helpful community. I am sorry to hear about your mom. My wife has been in a care home for almost 5 years but seems content in her own world. She does sleep a lot now, quite often for the duration of my visit. I am sure that there are many amongst our members who will understand and empathise with what you are facing. Do feel free to come here when you need support or someone who will listen.
