Hi, I'm 70 and have had my 93 year old Mum, who has quite advanced dementia, living with me for four years.

Hello @Jane with Jean and firstly welcome to this friendly and supportive forum. There is a lot of shared experience of dementia here and members really do want to help.

I'm sorry to read about your Mum's situation. It is good that she has you to look after her. Do you have any extra care support? If the dementia is advanced as you say, then you will need some I would say.
If you have any particular questions, or require help here from members in a particular issue, then please do say, then members can direct any help in a more appropriate way.
You'll always find understanding here, so if you ever need to let off a bit of steam that's fine.
