How long does it take to get a reply from the probate office?

I sent all the forms through 4 weeks ago. I have not heard anything yet. Is it worth chasing them ? The estate has a will and is very simple, no IHT to pay.

You should be sent an email if you gave your email address or letter giving you instructions on how and where to swear an oath...if you haven't had that yet I would phone them. I did dad's estate probate last year and the oath details came through in 2 to 3 weeks then the probate document about a week after they received the witnessed oath
