My name is Emma and my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's last year. She is still pretty capable, but I'm in the process of putting things in place, such as Lasting Power of Attorney with her bank etc, so that if she needs more support, I am ready.
My partner's mother has vascular dementia and is now living in a care home, which is taking up a lot of mental space as well as time.
I signed up so that I can get advice, where needed from the community and hopefully offer advice and support too.
