My husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2019 and although he has a Carer twice a week and goes to day care one morning, I am still finding I need more time. I’m thinking of trying to get some respite but am feeling very guilty about this. I am up and down with my moods and desperately waiting for “Carer day”.
Can someone advise me please on how I can deal with actually taking my husband for respite and leaving him for a few days as he won’t want to stay?
