I’m Deirdra and I primarily take care of my friends 92 year old grandma with caregivers 7 days a week from 8 am -4pm then I’m the only one untill 8 am the next day. She just got out of the hospital bc of pneumonia, and since then she has deteriorated more and left one way and came home a different women. I’m frustrated and trying bc I do love her but it’s so much more emotionally exhausting! I would like to hear from anyone who can give advise and just let me vent ! With lots of hugs thank you from the bottom to the top of my heart.

The pneumonia will have had a big effect on your friend`s Grandma just like any infection has a more pronounced effect on anyone with dementia.

It is hoped as she recovers there will be an improvement in her condition, but it might take a while.
