I'm a recent full-time carer for my mum who was diagnosed with alzheimer's in 2002. I gave up my job, which was stressful and fast paced. It was the right time as her condition has progressed and she is now longer to do everyday activities without prompting. Luckily she seems to be oblivious to everything. She has a very laid back attitude and we do have a laugh together. I think I'm just worried that I'm not doing enough for her. She's safe, given home cooked healthy meals, has company, daily walks, going out for activities and more importantly we are following her wishes to remain in her own home. It's just a much slower pace of life. I'm looking forward to connecting with others who are in a similar position. Thank you
