Dear all,

A short while ago I asked for people's comments on the Department of Health guidance called 'No secrets'. This is guidance on how to safeguard adults from abuse and neglect.

I just wanted to let people know that the Society's final response is now available to read or download from the website.

http://www.alzheimers.org.uk/site/scripts/documents_info.php?documentID=859

The Society will continue to campaign and work towards the recommendations in the response being implemented.

If you have any queries or would like any further information, please do contact me.

With best wishes,
Louise

Thanks Louise.

Do you know the thing that surprised me most? That up to 25% of hospital beds are occupied by people with dementia. So why is it so hit and miss whether you get anyone on a ward who understands dementia? This is a rhetorical question - no answer necessary.
