I have just been cheered up watching the news! Unusual isn't it? Especially as the subject matter was Hospitals ignoring "Do Not Resuscitate" wishes of patients.
They were interviewing Joe public on what they thought of this and a young girl, probably about 20 years old, was interviewed. The conversation went something like this:
Q. What do you think of patients wishes being ignored.
A. Well, err they may have been very depressed when they asked for DNR
Q. So you think its right and proper to ignore these wishes
A. Err, yeah, 'cause you see, well, they might live to regret it!!
Girl: mmmmm, slight look of embarassment!
