My Dad was diagnosed in June last year, my Mum is his main carer at the moment. His main issues are eating bread constantly and going wondering for hours. Recently he has been getting more and more aggressive , which has caused my Mum to be in hospital for a day or so. Is this behaviour something of the norm?
Mum is turning to me more and more for answers that I can't give .
He currently goes to day care 1 day per week with carers popping in in the eves just to make sure he takes his meds. But things like his inhalers which need to be taken just before bed he refuses to take.
lots of other examples, like leaving their dog at the local shop, putting plates on jobs with the heat on are a few things that have happened recently .
Any advice on how I can support Mum, I am a full time working parent with limited time in evenings.
