Hello

My mother and I have looked after dad who was diagnosed with Picks at the age of 72 years. He is now 82 years and for the past week only wants to stay in his bed. He got up to eat breakfast, which can take 2 hours as he just stares into space. Then spends up to an hour sat of the toilet again staring into space.

My mum is worried he is unwell, where as I think it may be him moving into end stage.

Any thoughts please?

I think that with any sudden changes in behaviour then you need to speak to the GP. It's possible that he may have an infection, or if he's spending so long on the toilet perhaps he is constipated? Best to get him checked over by a doctor.
