Hello!
My name is Zhi, and I am currently a Master's Student at the Architectural Association School of Architecture London. I am now doing a thesis on implementing theoretical knowledge of dementia-friendly design into practice to identify critical design criteria stimulating spatial orientation and wayfinding for seniors with dementia and determine the optimal strategy for this purpose.
I would love to gain insight on this and more about design choices/ decisions in care homes or your own home about color choices, positioning, and lighting, for example. I would appreciate advice based on this and personal experience regarding using patterns, textures, and even music to nudge them toward certain behaviors.
